Lambert Kamps unveils RUG400 artwork
On Monday 12 August at 9.30 a.m., artist Lambert Kamps will install his For Infinity artwork on the Vismarkt. Kamps’s inflatable artwork depicts the theme of 4∞/For Infinity, which is central to the 2014 celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the University of Groningen. The artwork will be installed at the corner of the Vismarkt and the Guldenstraat during the KEI information week.
Kamps’s creation will form part of the community art project ‘Masquerade – Move it’ and ‘For Infinity the Movie’, a hilarious film about student life in Groningen.
For Infinity the Movie
The film will be shot between Tuesday 13 August and Sunday 18 August. Due to the filming, the RUG400 artwork by Kamps will also be seen during the KEI parade in the Groningen city centre, on Tuesday evening from 7-8.30 p.m. The other locations for ‘For Infinity the Movie’ include a student house, a lecture hall and the University Library.
