Alex Klugkist has passed away

On 15 August, ex-head librarian of the University of Groningen Dr Alex Klugkist died at the age of 67.
Klugkist worked for the Library of the University of Groningen for over 25 years. When he retired in 2010, the Library organized an exhibition with photos and newspaper cuttings covering the period when he was Head Librarian. On display were also some special acquisitions either purchased or donated during his tenure.
The staff of the Library and all others who knew him at the University have fond memories of him as a person and remember with respect his valuable work for the Library.
