Jan de Jeu appointed member of the Board of the University

The Supervisory Board of the University of Groningen has appointed Jan de Jeu as a member of the Board of the University. De Jeu is currently a partner in the management advisory firm Twynstra Gudde. He will join the staff of the University of Groningen on 1 January 2012.
De Jeu (Rotterdam, 1955) is an alumnus of the University. He graduated in 1981 in Philosophy and in 1983 in Pedagogy. Between 1982 and 2000, De Jeu worked for the Erasmus University Rotterdam as a university education advisor, and for PTT Post and the Martini Hospital Groningen in various management positions.
In 2001, De Jeu became a partner at Twynstra Gudde. There he performed various advisory and interim management tasks in the field of facility management, accommodation and real estate for businesses and organizations in the public domain. In recent years he has mainly concentrated on organizational and business management issues in health care, and headed the operations advice section of Twynstra Gudde. In 2007 De Jeu became director of Operations at Twynstra Gudde.
In addition to his regular work, De Jeu is vice chair of CMO Groningen, the knowledge centre for care, welfare and education in and for the province of Groningen. He is also chair of the Advisory Board of Agis Zorgkantoor Utrecht and chair of the supervisory board of the Public Education Group Groningen (O2G2).
De Jeu is married with three children. He lives in the city of Groningen.
