16 September 2011

From 11 until 16 September 2011 the Law Faculty of the Georg-August University in Göttingen hosted the sixth annual summer school and the fourth annual conference of the Legal Research Network.

The Legal Research Network, which was established in 2006, facilitates collaborative and international research between the Faculties of Law at the Universities of Bristol, Budapest (ELTE), Ghent, Göttingen, Groningen, Lille Nord de France, Turku and Uppsala. It runs both an annual conference for researchers, and a summer school for PhD researchers.

The theme of the 2011 summer school and conference was 'Human rights and the impact on various fields of law'.

About 50 researchers from the universities participating in the network attended the conference, 29 of them presented a paper about their current research. For more information about the programme, the abstracts and papers: http://www.legalresearchnetwork.eu.

The 2012 summer school and annual network conference will be organized by the Law Faculty of the University of Budapest (ELTE); in 2013 Lille Nord de France will be the host of both activities.
