Jacques van Nieuwstadt Prize for Jan Kornelis Dijkstra
Assistant Professor of Sociology Jan Kornelis Dijkstra has won the RUG Sociology Jacques van Nieuwstadt Prize for the best Sociology lecturer, this happened last Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
The Jacques van Nieuwstadt Prize is awarded every two years to a lecturer who according to the students is the most inspiring teacher of the Sociology Department.
The students described Jan Kornelis Dijkstra as 'sympathetic, ambitious, concerned and enthusiastic'.
Last year Jan Kornelis Dijkstra was elected as Best Lecturer 2010 of the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences.
