Highest ranking for Groningen astronomy education

14 January 2010

The Groningen undergraduate astronomy education scored a double-plus in an influential national higher education survey (Keuzegids Universiteiten 2010), as the only one among all Dutch physics and astronomy educations. Groningen astronomy tops the list in a comparison with the university physics and astronomy educations in Amsterdam (UvA and VU), Leiden, Nijmegen and Utrecht. The student survey took place in 2009: nationwide students were asked to grade their education program concerning actual program, teaching practice, contacts, facilities, organization and career preparation.
