Herschell space telescope successfully launched
On May 14the, ESA successfully launched the space telescopes Herschel and Planck. Herschel contains three instruments. One instrument, the HIFI, was build in Groningen. They were shot into space with an Ariane-5 rocket from Kourou in French Guyana at 3.12 p.m. Dutch time. Over 800 people came to the Space Expo in Noordwijk to watch the launch live.
