The Medical Library monitors compliance with relevant copyright legislation by the UMCG and the Medical Faculty and can assist UMCG employees with questions about this.

The library can help UMCG employees with questions about copyright (mail auteursrecht umcg.nl). For example:

I am a teacher

• Can I include a PDF of an article or chapter in my Brightspace course?
• How can I link to an e-book or e-journal?
• Can I show an image from someone else's publication in my lecture?

I am a researcher

• Can I include an image from someone else's publication in my own publication?
• Can I publish my dataset on a website?
• Do I get the copyright of material I have created with the help of AI?
• Who has the copyright for the article I have published? Me or the publisher?
