Grant for UMCG Digital Competence Center Champions for use of FAIR Principles
The UMCG Digital Competence Center has received a grant of € 497,790 from Open Science NL, for a period of 4 years, to further advance our goals of supporting UMCG researchers in FAIRifying their data and software.
The implementation of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles in research data and software is essential for enhancing research impact, improving patient health, and achieving long-term savings.
Despite these achievements, there remains a significant lack of awareness among researchers regarding the sustainability of research software and the interoperability of data. To address this gap, our proposal aims to empower researchers with the necessary guidelines and tools for adopting FAIR software practices and ensuring data interoperability.
