The Master in Cultural Geography programme is designed to
educate students on the significant impact of individuals' everyday
experiences and how their identities shape and are shaped by their
living environments.
You will explore how global forces, such as globalization and
gendered or racialized relations, influence cultural practices and
everyday life. By examining these dynamics, you will discover how
they impact tourism and climate challenges. With these insights,
you will be ready to contribute meaningfully to discussions about
the liveability of places and people’s attachment to their
environments.
Our programme is intentionally
place-based,
people-centered, and
community-oriented, offering a unique perspective
that combines local insights with global contexts. Prepare to
tackle complex cultural and environmental issues in an
interconnected world.
This programme grounds your preparation in the dynamic field of
cultural geography while giving you the chance to specialize in one
of two cutting-edge, interdisciplinary sub-themes, that is
Sustainable Tourism & Society and
Climate Adaptation Governance.
