Non-UG visitors
All visitors (UG internal and external) need to present their access cards at the access gates at all times when entering and exiting the building. Please note that this may cause some inconvenience.
Borrowing
If you are neither a member of staff nor a student at the University of Groningen (UG), but would like to use the collection in the University Library, you can apply for a library card or day card. Are you a guest lecturer or tempory member of staff? See: Temporary staff.
N.B.: you can only access the printed collection with your card! If you would like to consult our electronic collection, see: Digital collection.

If you already have a UG library card but have lost it, you can use this form to apply for a replacement (your old card will be cancelled).
Are you a student or member of staff at another Dutch university, and do you already have a library card for the University of Groningen Library? If your library card is due to expire at the end of this academic year and you are still enrolled or work at another Dutch university, you can apply to renew your card. You must attach a copy of your proof of registration or an employer’s statement to the form.
