Borrowing books

UG staff are issued with a personal UG Card. The UG Card can be used to borrow books from all UG libraries or from other libraries.  More information, see: ‘Borrowing’.

E-resources

Your UG account allows you access to digital resources, such as e-journals, e-books, online newspapers or bibliographic databases. You log in with your P-number.

Work spaces

The UB City Centre offers UG researchers a quiet work environment, consisting of work spaces in the Special Collections reading room on the 3rd floor.

Are you affiliated with the Faculty of Medical Sciences? Go to the website of the Medical Library for an overview of the services, the collection and practical information for your visit to the Medical Library.

Temporary staff

If you are a temporary member of staff and would like to consult the printed collection from the closed stacks, you can request a day pass (€2.50). If necessary, this day pass can be extended for several days. Are you here for a longer period you can obtain a library card after being introduced by a UG staff member or on presenting an introduction letter. You can access the e-resources in the University Library on the walk-in PCs. To do so, please report to the service desk.

Consulting the e-resources from your (home) workplace is only possible if you have a (temporary) position at the UG. Please login with your P-number.
