The UG's contribution to Sustainable Development Goals
The University of Groningen (UG) embraces sustainability and integrates, wherever possible, sustainable and responsible behaviour consistently in its teaching and research. The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) guide these efforts.
To make the UG impact visible, SDG labels have now been added to the personal profile pages and overview pages of research units on the UG Research Portal.
The Sustainable Development Goals are a series of 17 goals established by the United Nations and adopted by 193 countries in 2015. Through sustainable (economic, environmental, and social) development, their overall objective is to create a better world, and a better life for all, by 2030.
The Dutch universiteitis, including the UG, are working together towards the SDG's.
