Notice and takedown rules

If you are the owner of the copyright or other related rights to any of the material available on the UG research portal and you have reason to believe that there has been an infringement of your intellectual property or similar rights, please send an email to pure rug.nl and include the following information in your message:

• A working URL to the material in question

• The nature of your complaint and the reason for filing it

• If your complaint is relates to copyright, proof that you are the rights holder or that you are authorized to negotiate on behalf of rights holder.

Once we have received your message we will:

• Confirm the receipt of your notification. Note that, following an initial assessment, we may take down the material in question while a full investigation is ongoing. You will be notified of this.

• We will contact the person who has uploaded the material in question to our repository, inform them of the complaint/request and ask them to work with you to resolve the issue and arrive at a solution that is satisfactory to both parties. This is usually either a librarian or another academic staff member.

• As a result, the material may be reinstated on the UG research portal unchanged, or with changes, or permanently removed.

• If both parties cannot agree to a workable solution, the material will be withdrawn from the UG research portal until a resolution is reached.
