Recruit Top Talent for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor roles

Recruiting top talent with the right blend of expertise has become an increasingly complex and time-consuming task. Traditional recruitment methods often fall short in meeting the growing demand for targeted skills and interdisciplinarity in academia.
To support research managers in this evolving landscape, we’re pleased to introduce a new pilot initiative designed to help identify and recruit qualified candidates for assistant, associate, and full-professor roles. Through a data-driven approach, this program leverages research analytics to pinpoint researchers whose work bridges fields, fills knowledge gaps, or aligns with emerging trends. By analyzing research output and collaborative networks, this pilot helps uncover potential hires whose profiles align with the nuanced requirements of specialized roles within an institute or a research group. The recruitment staff will then reach out to such candidates in close consultation with the hiring manager at the institute.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between Research Intelligence Services (RISe) and the University’s Recruitment Services.
If you have a vacancy* that could benefit from this service, please contact us at rise rug.nl or recruitment rug.nl.

*We recognize that the University of Groningen is currently in a phase of organizational contraction, which may impact many areas. However, we understand that this does not always apply to research positions, as these are often established with separate funding sources. With this in mind, we encourage research managers with relevant vacancies to contact us directly to explore potential support options.
