Altmetric.com now available to the UG
The Altmetric Explorer for the University of Groningen (UG) is now live and ready for use! The UG has obtained access to the tool as part of an effort to support researchers, research groups and other stakeholders in analyzing and demonstrating the societal impact and relevance of research over time.
Sourced from the Web, Altmetric data can give you a glimpse into how research is used outside of academic publications, and serve as a record of attention, a measure of dissemination and an indicator of influence and impact.

Through Altmetric.com you can track information such as the number of downloads a research output receives, to what extent it has been shared and discussed among a certain target online community, the number of references in databases, public policy documents, patents, news, blogs, and even online encyclopedias like Wikipedia.
You can register to the UG Altmetric dashboard using your UG e-mail address. Please send us your comments, we welcome your feedback!
