Springer Nature open access deal: the national annual quota for 2024 has been reached. This means that from that moment the deal will be suspended and UG/UMCG articles will no longer be eligible for the usual 100% discount on the open access fee.

The Dutch Research Council NWO supports academic journals that wish to transition from a subscription model to an open access model in which authors do not have to pay publication fees. They can soon apply for a subsidy from a new programme: the Diamond Open Access fund. A total of €500,000 is available in this round.
