The UB will be open as much as possible during the holiday period around Christmas and New Year. Read more about the opening hours uin this period (December 2025 - January 2026)
From 1 January 2026, Den Hollander will no longer be available for the UG.

From 1 January 2026, Altmetric Explorer will no longer be available for the UG. Please switch to the Impact Module of SciVal. The UMCG retains access to Altmetric.
The UB quits YouTube - follow us on PeerTube. The University Library is committed to open science and digital autonomy. We want to promote open principles in our communication strategy as well.
The Library Support Desk will be closed on Thursday 20 November ; the building and the Facility Desk will remain open!

Due to financial and technical reasons, the current RefWorks contract will not be renewed. Do you use RefWorks? Then switch to our other reference managers, EndNote or Zotero.
As a UG student, you can get free access to twelve Dutch newspapers: from Dagblad van het Noorden to the Volkskrant and Trouw.
If you created your InView account before 2025, you need to anonymize it yourself before 14 November 2025 if you want to keep your personal settings, such as favorite sources on the home page and the labels, notes and markings.
