The myth of the story of Troy has evolved remarkably from its origins in epic poems like Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, even though it is clear that these ancient works laid the foundation for the tale of the Trojan War, blending history and myth with heroism and divine intervention. As we have seen, over centuries the story was adapted and expanded by Guido delle Colonne, who infused the narrative with medieval sensibilities and chivalric elements. In modern times, the myth has been further transformed through various media, from Hollywood blockbusters such as Helen of Troy (1956) and Troy starring Brad Pitt (2004), which emphasize human drama and action, to playful and satirical takes like the episode “Tales from the Public Domain” (2002) from the animated sitcom The Simpsons, showcasing the tale's enduring appeal and versatility across different cultures and genres.
