The famous Café De Woldhoorn in the Turftorenstraat was featured in Mussengang a few times. Bert Cornelius drew it from the inside (20) and from the outside (21).
The area around the train station really was very windy in the 1990s (22), as was the Poelebrug (23).
The VERA building, formerly home to the highly respectable Protestant Christian student association Veri Et Recti Amici, attracted many rugged squatters in the 1980s (24).
In 1994, the current building of the Groninger Museum was officially opened. During the museum’s construction, Bert Cornelius caught two Mussengang characters in the act on the construction site (25).
