In order to protect the physical condition of our materials there are some restrictions on their availability for use. They are not available if in our reading room the temperature exceeds 24⁰C or the air humidity is below 40% or above 70%.

These restrictions regard photographical materials, books consisting of parchment, and all manuscripts incl. maps. In other cases, too, access may be denied or its duration restricted at the discretion of our staff.

In the reading room these general house rules apply.
