Prof. Herman Ravensperger (1586–1625)

Herman Ravensperger was the first professor of theology in Groningen. When in 1625 he passed away a mere two years after his appointment as librarian, Mulerius began a second term as librarian. This second time around he was supported by the university’s beadle who took care of opening, closing, and cleaning the library. Also new was the fact that the librarian now received a small fee.
