Special Collections: inventory and access archives
In 2016 an inventory was drawn up of a number of the Special Collections archives to make them accessible.
Willem Post
Willem Post (1914-?) studied German Studies at the University of Groningen. In 1949 he was appointed research associate at the National Library of the Netherlands (KB), in charge of the German Language and Literature department. Not long after he also became responsible for the incunabula and the post-incunabula. Post was requested to support the deputy librarian and the librarian during the renovation plans.
Harmen de Vos
Harmen de Vos (1896-1980) studied Theology at Leiden University. In 1948 he was appointed professor in Groningen, specifically for Philosophical Introduction to Religious Studies, Ethics and Philosophy of Religion.
Frederik Reinier Jacob Knetsch
Frederik Reinier Jacob Knetsch (1924-2006) studied Theology at the University of Leiden (1947-1956). In 1969 he was appointed lector in Dutch Church History, the Religious Studies Encyclopaedia and Introduction to Theology. A year later this lectorate was converted into a professorial chair.
