Training
CLIQ provides various types of training for Faculty of Arts staff. Our current focus is on the ‘Just do IT’ workshops (below), but upon request specific training is also provided for departments, particularly workshops in using Blackboard (Nestor). For information, send your email to cliq@rug.nl.
Other options for ICT-related training are provided by ESI (staff development) and CIT (computer courses).
‘Just do IT’ ICT skills workshops
Under the name 'Just do IT', CLIQ is offering short workshops about the use of ICT for teaching and learning. The emphasis in the workshops is on promoting ‘good practices’ and making teaching and learning more effective and more efficient by the use of technologies. The workshops are in the form of one-hour hands-on demos and practice. We use ‘Just do IT’ as motto because the use of ICT should be simple and functional. After the workshops, participants should be confident in using the tools on their own.
The language used during the workshops is English or Dutch, depending on the group and teacher. The descriptions and supporting information on the website are in English.
Overview of proposed workshops
Submit your own proposal, stating a title, short description and name and email of the applicant: cliq rug.nl
Training on demand
Upon request by departments or sections, CLIQ can provide training on demand. This concerns training and instruction in using Nestor (Blackboard) in particular. The training is provided by the Nestor coordinator, André Rosendaal or ESI.
Ask us about possibilities for other types of training. These could be training offered by CLIQ, ESI, CIT or external providers. Address your request to cliq@rug.nl.
