About us Faculty of Arts Arts Festival Workshops

Do we still need feminism?

Join us for an engaging fishbowl discussion on feminism. This dynamic event provides a platform for open dialogue, where young people will have a chance to express their views and teach us, academic lecturers, about their experiences and concerns! The fishbowl format encourages active participation, with a group of speakers seated in an inner circle to discuss the topic and those in the outer circle listening and observing. Audience members always have the opportunity to join the inner circle and contribute their perspectives, ensuring a diverse range of voices are heard. The discussion will cover various aspects of feminism, including gender equality, intersectionality, and social justice, offering a nuanced understanding of the movement's current impact and future direction. Come share your thoughts, challenge your views, and engage in meaningful conversation about the role of feminism in our society.

Workshop by dr Joanna Chojnicka and dr Esther Jiresch.

Please note: The festival programme, including the exact starting time of all events and activities, will be online at the beginning of September.
