Increasing joy in reading and writing in secondary school

Unfortunately, few secondary school students enjoy reading and writing education. How can we use scientific insights to make this education more attractive and effective? In this lecture, Ninke Stukker explains that reading and writing are not tricks that can be taught, but meaningful social activities that are also important outside the school walls. By taking different genres into account and working with content-based tasks, pleasure in reading and writing tasks appears to increase. You will experience for yourself how this works through a small experiment.
