Throwback: Job Festival 2024

It is with great pleasure that we look back on the Job Festival 2024! On 20 September 2024, over 150 Faculty of Arts students learned how to network during various workshops.

They were able to have a professional photograph taken and had their CVs checked. Not only in the Harmonie building, but also in Province House and the International Welcome Centre North of the Municipality of Groningen, the red carpet was rolled out to welcome them. Students interacted with professionals at the job market, went speed dating with trainees, and took a look behind the scenes at the Province House and the International Welcome Centre North.

We closed the event with drinks, where everyone was able to apply their networking skills. Thanks to the efforts of the volunteers, it was a successful afternoon!

What did the students learn?

‘I learned the six steps for networking, which I actually used after the workshop during a networking event!’

‘I feel that the networking tips I got will help me the most in finding a job and it was such a boost of self-confidence.’

‘There are many students who opt for a Traineeship after their studies instead of looking for a job. Many institutions offer this option.’
