Research questions

The main research question is: “Are there indications of effectiveness of the intervention of De Stee and is the objective of the expertise center being attained"?

In order to answer this question, a detailed target group description (on parent, child and family level) will be made and the care processes of the families will be analyzed. For instance, we will study if the families who complete the program differ on certain characteristics of families who drop out and which factors are associated with successful reunification.

In addition, parenting is being studied within the center to find an answer to the question whether parenting changes during the intervention. Furthermore, we study if the measures of quality of parenting are consistent with the final advises on reunification formulated by the expertise center. Finally, we focus on the sustainability of the intervention.
