Growing up safely

In an ideal world, every child has equal opportunities to develop into a full member of society, regardless of their background or limitations. In practice, the place where you are born, the environment in which you grow up, and the limitations you have play a crucial role. At the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, we investigate what we can do to reduce the impact of these inequalities on everyone's opportunities and to ensure that children can grow up in a safe environment.
