Post-Master’s healthcare psychologists

If you would like to start a career as an independent therapist and diagnostician in the Netherlands after you graduate, you will need to be registered under the Individual Healthcare Professions Act in what is known as a ‘BIG-registratie’. The Healthcare Professions Act lists all independent professionals in the healthcare field, including healthcare psychologists (GZ-psycholoog in Dutch). Graduates of the post-Master’s programme for healthcare psychologists will be able to register in the BIG.
