About the centre of expertise
We live in a time where sexual and gender diversity has become increasingly acknowledged in society as markers with great relevance to the identities, health, wellbeing, work and life course trajectories of individuals. The aim of this centre of expertise is to promote the scientific and public understanding of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexed, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+).
Our goal is to bring together knowledge from science, practice, and lived experiences about sexual and gender-diverse people and their identities, wellbeing, and health from multiple disciplines.
The members of our centre come from various disciplines within the social and behavioral sciences, such as education, pedagogics, psychology, sociology. Furthermore, the centre provides an inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ people and allies within the faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences.
