Friendship Award for Prof. Ben Feringa

Prof. Ben Feringa has been awarded the 2022 Friendship Award on September 26 by the Wang Zhigang (Minister of Science and Technology in China), at the Chinese Embassy in The Hague.
The Friendship Award is the highest award to commend experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernisation, reform, and opening-up. Since its establishment in 1991, 1,848 foreign experts have received the award. For 2022, there are 49 awardees.
Feringa
For many years, Prof. Ben Feringa has maintained close ties with the Chinese scientific community, and has promoted dialogue and cooperation with Chinese scientific and research staff. He has also been promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and the Netherlands.
On September 26, Prof. Dick Broer of the Eindhoven University of Technology, also received the Chinese Government Friendship Award.
