PhD Rozema Dutch candidate for ECCOMAS award

The PhD thesis of Wybe Rozema has been nominated for the European ECCOMAS Best PhD Thesis 2015 Award. The national Graduate School on fluid mechanics, JM Burgerscentrum, and the national Graduate School on solid mechanics, Engineering Mechanics, have selected Rozema’s thesis as the Dutch candidate.

Dr. Rozema defended his thesis "Low-dissipation methods and models for the simulation of turbulent subsonic flow" on October 30th, with promotores P rof.ir. R.W.C.P. Verstappen and Prof. A.E.P. Veldman of the Computational Mechanics and Numerical Mathematics group (Johann Bernoulli Institute). Early June 2016, the award winner will be announced by ECCOMAS, the European Community for Computational Methods in Applied Sciences.
