Faculty Technical Support
The Faculty Technical Support (FTD) department is made up of the departments that support the research and teaching groups within the Faculty of Science and Engineering in the development and construction of equipment for teaching and research. This is mainly equipment for which no suitable standard solution is available commercially. FTD is located at the Nijenborgh 4, MWF Complex (ADL1) and the Linnaeusborg.
FTD, just like the Purchasing, Library Management, Building Maintenance and In-house Emergency Services departments, falls under the Internal Services (FZ) department of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
FTD comprises the following departments/sections:

Glass-blowing and Woodworking are part of the Mechanics Department. There is also a combined technical storeroom for the departments of Electronics and Mechanics.
