Message from the programme

Dear prospective student,

With this message we would like to welcome you to the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) of the University of Groningen (UG). Please read this website carefully to have a good start of your BSc degree programme in 2024/2025. We are looking forward to welcoming you in September and hope you will thoroughly enjoy your studies in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. 

Are you a bit uncertain about the choice between Mathematics and Applied Mathematics? Take your first year to find out what you like the most. The first year of both programmes is the same, so switching after the first year is easy.

To have a have a great start of your studies, we encourage you to join the Pienter Camp organized by the study association FMF from Friday the 30th of August till Sunday the 1st of September. Please find more information here and sign up as soon as possible!

Form for mentor and tutorial groups

Starting your bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in 2024-2025 (starting 2 September 2024)? Make sure to fill out this form before August 19.

We use this information to create tutorial and mentor groups. We will share your mobile phone number with your mentor, so they can contact you and add you to the WhatsApp group with your fellow mentees.
