TINKER - First Partner Meeting
We're thrilled to kick off our latest EU-funded project, TINKER (1.2 million euro) dedicated to transforming primary and lower secondary informatics education, coordinated by Dr. Dina Maniar (Zernike Institute) and Lucy Avraamidou (CLT)
The project officially launched its work with the first partner meeting held in Groningen, where we once again had the opportunity to reiterate the vital importance of promoting authentic learning and gender inclusion in ICT classrooms across Europe. In particular, the meeting largely focused on the exchange of insights collected from both field and desk research conducted nationally that will help us shape our approach in developing inclusive and innovative teaching methods that cater to the needs of educators and students alike.
This crucial conversation and experience exchange certainly helped to define the main principles of authentic learning and gender-inclusive practices that will now serve as a foundation for the comprehensive TINKER Pedagogical Framework. we also presented the first preliminary version of the TINKER Framework which will aim to assist educators with coherent and systemic implementation of these principles and will be unveiled soon on TINKER’s official website: https://tinker-project.eu/
