Academic calendar

The academic year consists of two semesters and each semester is divided into two periods. The dates for the academic year 2024-2025 are:

Semester 1A

Lecture period : Monday 2 September 2024 - Friday 18 October 2024
Exam period: Monday 21 October 2024 - Friday 1 November 2024
Resit period: Monday 27 January 2025 - Friday 31 January 2025

Semester 1B

Lecture period: Monday 11 November 2024 - Friday 17 January 2025
Exam period: Monday 20 January 2025 - Friday 24 January 2025
Resit period: Monday 7 April 2025 - Friday 11 April 2025

Semester 2A

Lecture period: Monday 3 February 2025 - Friday 21 March 2025
Exam period: Monday 24 March 2025 - Friday 4 April 2025
Resit period: Monday 16 June 2025 - Friday 27 June 2025

Semester 2B

Lecture period: Monday 14 April 2025 - Friday 6 June 2025
Exam period: Tuesday 10 June 2025 - Friday 13 June 2025
Resit period: Monday 16 June 2025 - Friday 27 June 2025

Vacation days

The period from 4 November 2024 until 10 November 2024, 23 December 2024 until 5 January 2025 and the period from 30 June 2025 until 31 August 2025 are periods without any lectures or exams for the Faculty of Spatial Sciences. All University services are closed on the following days:

• Between Christmas and New Year: 25 December 2024 until 1 January 2025
• Good Friday: 18 April 2025
• Easter Monday: 21 April 2025
• Liberation Day: 5 May 2025
• Ascension Day: 29 May 2025
• Whit Monday: 9 June 2025

Schedules

The schedules are made by the Education office. The schedules are preliminary, changes are always possible. You will be notified of changes in the schedules, on Nestor or by e-mail. Courses offered outside the programmes of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences are not available in the schedules of the Faculty. Please check the information and the schedule of the Faculty where the course is offered.
