Information about the educational system in the Netherlands
A university degree programme consists of two phases:
- the first phase lasts three years and results in a Bachelor's degree.
- the second phase is a Master's degree programme of one, two or three years.

Full-time programme
Full-time students devote all their working hours to their studies. They may use the University’s library, IT, sports and cultural facilities and are entitled to counselling provided by a study advisor and/or Student Service Centre (student counsellor, student psychologist and coaches). They also have the right to vote for the Faculty Council and the University Council.Please note: only full-time students are eligible for a student grant from DUO.
