New PPE Master now open for applications

14 March 2017
Flags of all countries as a symbol for PPE

The Faculty of Philosophy offers a new Master’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics starting this September.

Hosted at the Faculty of Philosophy, the Master in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) is an innovative one-year degree starting this autumn. Rather than teaching the three disciplines separately, it provides a genuinely interdisciplinary perspective focusing on methods, theories and applications at the intersection of P, P, and E. The aim is not only to teach theoretical problems and methods but to prepare students for careers in a broad range of professional careers, particularly in public policy. The first cohort will start this September and applications are now open.

The new programme comes at a time when the University of Groningen is strengthening its teaching and research in PPE. The newly formed Centre for PPE at the Faculty of Philosophy complements the PPE Master with strong interdisciplinary research across the three disciplines.
