Faculty of Philosophy - 60 years
#Philosophy is more fun when you think about it
The faculty is turning 60 this year in September, and we are excited to mark this milestone with a series of special events!
Activities will include an official opening for invited guests on September 3rd in the Senate Chamber, Academy Building featuring short presentations from different faculties on their collaboration with philosophers and how philosophy enhances academic partnerships. Additionally, we will host a BBQ in the canteen & garden of the Academy Building and conclude the day with a big party. We look forward to celebrating with you!
As part of our lustrum celebrations we are organizing a series of public mini-lectures (publiekslezingen) in September on a variety of philosophical topics providing opportunities for alumni and the general public to engage with philosophy. Lectures will be offered in Dutch and English.

Official opening Senate Room, Academy Building
The official opening of the Faculty of Philosophy lustrum will take place in the Senate Room on September 3rd, from 15:30 to 17:00. This event is open to invited guests and alumni.

BBQ garden Academy Building
The BBQ on September 3rd is open to all philosophy students, staff, alumni, and invited guests. It will take place from 17:00 to 19:00 in the garden of the Academy Building. The BBQ will be fully vegan and vegetarian.
Afterparty Stadscafé Pronk (Vismarkt)
The afterparty on September 3rd is open to all philosophy students, philosophy staff, and invited guests. Join us at Stadscafé Pronk from 19:30 to 23:00 for an evening of good company, live music, and light bites. The faculty will offer one free drink to all attendees.
