Edlira Shehu appointed as Professor of Digital Marketing

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) is pleased to announce that as per 1 February 2023 Dr. Edlira Shehu has been appointed as Professor of Digital Marketing. The chair is situated within the Department of Marketing.
Before joining FEB, Edlira Shehu was Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School and the University of Southern Denmark. Previously, Shehu obtained her PhD and her state doctorate at the University of Hamburg in Germany. Prior to joining academia, Shehu worked in different management positions in the field of marketing analytics. She thus also brings a lot of practical experience to the table and often collaborates with industry partners in her empirical research projects.
Digital marketing & marketing analytics
Shehu’s research focuses on a broad range of topics along three areas: digital advertising, multichannel retailing, and nonprofit marketing. Her research uses quantitative methods to solve empirical problems and has high academic as well as managerial and societal relevance. The professor has published in leading journals, such as the Journal of Marketing Research, the International Journal of Research in Marketing, the Journal of Retailing, and Research Policy. Apart from teaching and carrying out her own research, Shehu is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Retailing. Over the years, she has developed an excellent international research network in the field of marketing.
Strengthening research & education
As Professor of Digital Marketing, Shehu will take a leading role in strengthening FEB’s research and teaching activities in the domain of Digital Marketing. The focus of the research and education will be on how digitalization is changing organizations’ marketing decisions, consumer behaviour and the society as a whole. As professor, Shehu will also supervise PhD’s on topics related to Digital Marketing. Furthermore, she will provide education and be involved in further developing the (research) master program in Marketing.
