The Faculty of Economics and Business is pleased to announce that as from April 2022 dr. Florian Noseleit has been appointed as professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Florian Noseleit joined FEB’s Innovation Management and Strategy (IM&S) department as an assistant professor in 2010. He is currently also the program director of the MSc Business Administration and member of the FEB Institutional Research Board.
Strategic and social entrepreneurship
Noseleit is an expert on strategic entrepreneurship, collaborative innovation strategies, and social entrepreneurship. His research focuses on entrepreneurship as a societal and economic function covering the determinants and implications of entrepreneurial activity, the interrelation of innovation and entrepreneurship, collaboration for innovation, and social innovation. He is currently coordinating an international project on collaboration for social innovation funded by the Dutch Research Council NWO. His research has been published in many top general management journals and he regularly exchanges his expertise with stakeholders by means of practitioner-oriented policy reports, publications, and workshops.
‘Advancing research and education in the field of entrepreneurship is essential in business and management education. This is because entrepreneurship provides a substantial contribution to business, technological and social innovation, and helps to address societal challenges. Hence, facilitating entrepreneurship and supporting the development of an entrepreneurial attitude becomes increasingly important’, says Noseleit.
As professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Florian Noseleit will continue contributing to the development of entrepreneurship research within the faculty and aims to develop synergies with the already existing chairs situated in the IM&S department. Furthermore, he strives to play a leading role in the management of the entrepreneurship education at the faculty and university level.
