Boudewijn de Bruin appointed as editor of Journal of Business Ethics

Prof. Boudewijn de Bruin has been appointed as editor of the Philosophy and Business Ethics section of the Journal of Business Ethics. The journal publishes original articles from a wide variety of methodological and disciplinary perspectives concerning ethical issues related to business that bring something new or unique to the discourse in their field.
De Bruin is Professor of Financial Ethics at the University of Groningen, and held visiting positions at Cambridge University, the Fondation Maison des sciences de l'homme in Paris, and Harvard Business School, and is a Life Member of Clare Hall (Cambridge). With Alex Oliver (Cambridge), De Bruin directed a programme on Trusting Banks financed by the Dutch Research Council (NWO), and with Miranda Fricker (New York) he is leading a project on Epistemic injustice in Finance and Health Care.
De Bruin works on the philosophical, political, and economic aspects of information, such as epistemic injustice, the ethics of belief, motivated belief, fake news, virtue epistemology, and stereotypes, with applications in economics, finance (financial ethics, financial literacy), health care, and ICT, among others. He is finishing a monograph entitled Freedom of Business: An Essay in Political Epistemology (Oxford University Press, 2021).
