13 FEB professors ranked among top two percent of scientists in the world in a recent Stanford study
FEB professors Sjoerd Beugelsdijk, Erik Buskens, Erik Dietzenbacher, Paul Elhorst, Jakob de Haan, Onne Janssen, Maarten Postma, Bert Scholtens, Ruud Teunter, Peter Verhoef and Iris Vis rank among the top two percent of scientists in the world in a recent study led by Dr John PA Ioannidis. Also newly appointed professor Gerard van den Berg and emeritus professor Damien Power are included in the list.
The research team at Stanford University has created a database of over 100,000 top scientists of the world on the basis of standardised citation indicators. The analysis was conducted using citations from Scopus along with data assessing scientists for career-long citation impact till the year 2019 and for citation impact during a single calendar year.
Dean Peter Verhoef (who is also in the list) is very proud of this outcome. "It shows the high impact of our research" he says.
