At this year's European Marketing Academy (EMAC) Conference in Oslo last week, representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Business took over the official EMAC flag, as the next organizers of the annual conference.
The department of Marketing of our faculty responded enthusiastically by stating that “we are proud to organize next year's annual EMAC conference in Groningen. The EMAC conference is one of the largest academic marketing conferences with more than 1.000 participants. We organized it in 1979 and will now do it again at a much larger scale. The organization of this conference fits with our mission to have impact on our field, as well that it further builds the brand reputation of our department, faculty and university.”
The EMAC 2017 conference is organized by Peter Verhoef, Koert van Ittersum, Tammo Bijmolt and Jaap Wieringa and will take place in Martiniplaza from 23 to 26 May 2017. For more information please take a look at the EMAC website.
