Opportunities and exchange partners

  • What are the opportunities to study abroad?

  • What courses can I take abroad?

Please consult the website of the partner university to find out which courses are offered and discuss them with your programme director. In general, a semester abroad is filled with 15 ECTS of business- or economics-related courses and 15 ECTS of electives, but always discuss it with your programme director.

    Ask your question

  • Can I go abroad as a free mover and how do I do that?

  • Where can I find the academic calendar of a partner university?

  • What is the difference between RUG-wide places and faculty places?

RUG-wide exchange places are open to all RUG students: everybody is allowed to apply. This means more competition - the best students are selected. Our faculty places are only open to our FEB students - that means more opportunities for going abroad. The RUG-wide place are the most attractive place, such as Australia, New Zealand and Canada. For more information on RUG-wide places, please visit the RUG website.

    Ask your question

  • How can I learn from Groningen students who have studied at a university abroad before me?

Please find the student reports as a PDF file on the exchange partners website.

    Ask your question

  • When can I go abroad?

  • Can I study abroad during my Master study?

This is only possible with permission from your program director. The courses you will take abroad will be extra in your masterprogram, because it is difficult to find similar master courses abroad. It will take extra time to finish your masterprogram.

    Ask your question

  • What do the terms EQUIS and AACSB accredited mean?

EQUIS and AACSB are international quality standards for Economics & Business Schools awarded to universities with high scores on education and internationalization (among other aspects). When a university is EQUIS and/or AACSB accredited, this indicates that this is an excellent university.
