Profile of MSc Finance

The General Finance profile gives you a broad and versatile understanding of financial concepts, principles, and tools. You will dive into key aspects of finance, such as investment analysis, corporate finance, risk management, and financial markets, without focusing on a single niche.

This profile is perfect for those who want a well-rounded financial education and the flexibility to explore diverse career paths in finance. Real-world applications include:

  • Tesla’s capital-raising efforts for innovation,
  • Goldman Sachs’ use of derivatives for risk management,
  • Microsoft’s budgeting for global operations.

These practices are essential for making informed decisions and ensuring financial stability and growth across industries.

Course list

All MSc Finance students will take the following mandatory courses:

  • Advanced corporate finance
  • Portfolio theory
  • Research methods for finance

If you choose to follow the General Finance profile, will be able to put together their own course package by combining courses from the other profiles to create a program unique to your interests. In addition to your course work, you will also write an individual thesis on a topic of their choosing within the area of finance. After your studies
