-
Faculty of Economics and Business
-
BSc Industrial Engineering & Management (Faculty of Science and Engineering)
About the minor
In an era defined by rapid technological advances and growing environmental and social challenges, innovation is not just a strategy but a necessity for survival and sustainable growth. Innovative entrepreneurs, whether setting up new companies or driving change within established companies, play a vital role in identifying new opportunities. They are needed to challenge the existing order of businesses by addressing unmet (societal) needs.
The Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers both theoretical and practical insights into new venture creation. You will learn how to create, identify and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities, develop business models, and explore high-tech and service-based entrepreneurship areas.
Other topics include how knowledge is protected or shared openly, how relations are developed in the network of value creation, and how this leads to new ventures. You will apply these concepts to realistic business cases and adapt them to various business contexts.
Is this minor the right fit for you?
The Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is designed for students who aspire to create impactful, innovative solutions that not only serve market demands but also contribute to societal well-being and sustainability. Whether you want to understand the innovation process, explore entrepreneurship in existing or new markets, assess the feasibility of your business idea, or enhance your personal and professional development, this minor is the right choice for you!
What does the programme look like?

The minor Entrepreneurship is taught by experts from the Faculty of Economics and Business. The programme consists of a package of five courses of 30 ECTS in total.
During the minor, you will develop an empirically well-founded solution to a practical business development challenge, together with the students of the (faculty) minor Innovation & Entrepreneurship . Together with these students, you will work in multidisciplinary project groups.
