Because of the wide range of sports associations in Groningen, there is always something that suits you! There are numerous sports associations to become a member of, allowing you to play many different sports. The ACLO is the umbrella organization of Groningen's 50 student sports associations.

Usva is the cultural center for students in Groningen. The goal of this student facility of the RuG is to offer students culture in all art disciplines: from music to theater and from literature to visual arts, you can find it all at Usva.

Do you want to be active in politics while studying? Then you can join a political association (in Dutch) in Groningen. Many of the national political parties have a youth or student section in Groningen. It is the perfect place to get involved in politics during your studies. You can also join the University or Faculty council.

The University of Groningen Language Centre helps you to communicate successfully, wherever you are. Achieve your personal goals using the extensive range of language courses and services.

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) of FEB is a community created by students where everyone can feel safe to be who they are and to love who they want. GSA organises many activities, such as game nights, high teas, movie nights, pub quizzes and more. Joining the GSA offers you a nice way to find community, and talk about shared experiences with fellow students from the LGBTQ+ community.
