FEB's Learning Community Approach

The Faculty of Economics and Business has participated in the creation and development of learning communities from the very beginning. An average of 12 - 14 multi-level lc's are now offered per semester. In FEB's learning communities, students of all years and disciplines work together. They coach each other, challenge each other and enhance each other's learning experiences. Learning communities differ from other projects that focus on group work, interaction and engagement, in a number of areas:

  • clear faculty profile,
  • community involvement,
  • thematic focus, and
  • academic commitment building

In addition to these distinguishing qualities, FEB's learning communities are attractive because we actively involve the business community in implementing topics within the lc's. This allows students to show that they are capable of participating in collaborative projects with the business community. In addition, the learning communities offer the opportunity to develop specific skills such as project management, coaching, programming skills, interview and negotiation techniques. (Learning to) create and maintain a network is also an opportunity offered. It helps prepare students for their future careers.
