Energy Transition and Climate Change

The Focus Area Energy Transition and Climate Change explained
The energy sector is changing dramatically. Conventional firms have to change their business models towards renewable energy, while consumers are becoming more active as self-suppliers. In order to finance the transition, energy users also have to pay higher taxes. In addition, energy systems have to deal with increasing shares of weather dependent production, which raises the need for flexibility through demand response and storages such as batteries and hydrogen.
Completing the Focus Area Energy Transition and Climate Change gives you specialised knowledge to help you successfully navigate the economic, business and financial challenges facing the energy sector.

Daniël Schans, MSc Finance:
"The focus areas of FEB provide students with the opportunity to explore a particular field and therefore I realised that it would be a great addition to the curriculum of the MSc Finance."
